TOYO MODEL UNITED NATIONS
HOUSE COMMITTEES
Toyo Model UN Virtual Conference 5.0 will have THREE (3) house committees for the conference itself. These house committees are:
UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN'S FUND (UNICEF)
UNICEF, originally called the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund in full, now officially United Nations Children's Fund, is an agency of the United Nations responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.
THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO)
The World Trade Organization (WTO) stands as the primary intergovernmental body committed to facilitating international trade. With 164 member states, the WTO focuses on fostering smooth, fair, predictable, and unrestricted trade by establishing agreements and resolving disputes. This crucial role positions the WTO at the core of the global economy, impacting the lives of citizens worldwide.
CRISIS
Crisis is a fast-paced MUN committee that has the power to generate action. Rather than just representing a country, delegates take on the role of a character that can range from an ambassador to a news reporter to a fictional character, depending on the committee. Each delegate aims to assert their character’s viewpoint and end the conference having amassed the most social, political, or economic power.
These three (3) house committees will be simultaneously conducted on three (3) different conference rooms. Delegations or state members vary from house committees. This means that there is no equal number of delegates per house committee. Detailed information regarding these two house committees will soon be released.
